Our natural areas are sick – the STATUS QUO is NOT working

Windsor - Essex has 8 % Forest Cover

We are losing Wildlife Species at an incredible rate

Yet Our Council Keeps allowing developers to run rough-shot over Windsor

I BELIEVE THIS IS UNACCEPTABLE and I HAVE APPEARED BEFORE COUNCIL

to argue this point - when I Spoke AGAINST Coco's Big Box Development beside Ojibway

Blanding's Turtle

Threatened Species

Eastern Spiny Soft-shell

Threatened Species

Designate the Ojibway Complex & Black Oak Heritage Park as Protected Wilderness Areas

I SUPPORT THE FOLLOWING APPROACHES

GREEN-BELTING

We need to Conserve as much of our remaining natural areas (woodlots, waterways)

WILDLIFE PASSAGES

We need to Create Wildlife Passages around Black Oak Heritage Park and the Ojibway Nature Complex

Wildlife Passages would allow wildlife species to cross under roadways so as to prevent them from becoming road kill
