PROPOSED LOCATION IS A BAD CHOICE - COUNTY ROAD 42 SITE HAS:

No Infra-structure (water, sewer, roads, hydro)

No Public Transit

Removes services from core

Is un-accessible to seniors & the under-employed

Makes Active Transportation virtually impossible

Increases Urban Sprawl

Removes Agricultural Land

Constrains Airport growth

Has high Operating expenses by building Out not Up

ALSO:

Will the airport’s radar or electronics disrupt the hospital’s equipment?

Will the Samsung Solar Farm disrupt the Hospital’s equipment?

WARD 8 –Has a BETTER OPTION

(GEMM Property – bound to the west by Jefferson Blvd., East Lauzon Parkway, south Tecumseh Rd and to the north by the CN Rail Corridor)

The Green and Tan areas are vacant lands and depending on who you ask was chosen by Selection Committee as 1st or 2nd Choice for Mega-Hospital Location

I AGREE WE NEED A NEW HOSPITAL - NOT at County 42

Advocates for the poor, for seniors, for the environment,

for public transit and for sustainable development are all opposed.

Yet once again, Council (minus Mr. Bortolin and Mr. Holt) take the side of developers
